Take an absent person, an absent time, a lost thought with you. Embark on an audio journey and a walk in the woods. ‘A walk for the living’. GOLD focuses on the living, on the invisible community of those who are left behind.

​

The forest takes you out of the cultural time frame and context. You are with yourself, with your body. You decide your pace, your rhythm. And your rhythm influences that of the group. Silence and walking. The choreography follows a simple rule: never lose sight of the person walking in front of you. The person behind you will do the same. Alone together, together alone.

​

At the beginning of the Silent Walk, you cross the freeway bridge at Forsthaus Grauholz – leaving civilization behind, leaving the roar of the freeway behind as you enter the forest. Cross a threshold. The walk is always scheduled either at dawn or dusk – the changing light conditions also support the feeling that you are crossing a threshold into another world.

 

From the cultural era to the natural era and back again.

 

Gesprochene Sprachen: Schweizerdeutsch, Deutsch, Englisch
Dauer: 2 Stunden
Mitnehmen: Gute, wetterfeste Schuhe und Kleidung sowie eigene Kopfhörer und Smartphone zum QR-Code einscannen.
Nicht barrierefrei. Start und Ende des Walks sind bei der Dampfzentrale. Der Spaziergang selbst findet im Allmitwald statt.
